FAQs
How long does it take to get a new patient appointment?
Usually when a potential client reaches out, they would like to get started right away. PTG usually is able to offer a new client an appointment within a week of reaching out. Lets strike while the iron’s hot!
How do I contact you to set up an initial appointment?
You can contact PTG by clinking on the Here or the “Get Started” Button at the top right or the bottom right of the page. This brings you to a form where we ask that you complete some brief information to better help us serve you. Then we will be in touch within 1 business day to discuss services.
How often do I come?
Our services are curtailed by what needs our clients present. Depending on the treatment modality, a client could be scheduled 2 times a week, to 1 time a month. Most clients initially come weekly for 3-4 weeks in order to set up initial goals, and do the most intensive work. Afterwards, clients can taper off to every other week, where they will continue to work on the cognitive behavioral piece of therapy. Once clients feel more confident in their new abilities, they may check in every 3-4 weeks to discuss their continued process and any obstacles that may have come up.
What is the initial appointment like?
If this is your first time seeking therapy, the therapist will guide you gently through the process and take time to answer any questions and address any concerns. The first session will be spent turning in initial paperwork, describing what you would like to work on and discussing your primary complaint. you will be asked to provide background information to help the therapist understand your life thus far. Then goals are developed together. We are results driven at Palms Therapy Group and will likely assign homework regularly; sometimes it is recording a behavior, changing a behavior, journaling around a specific event or feeling, reading a book, or even listening to a podcast.
How much are your services?
Initial Session: $175
Individual Session: $150
Family Session: $150
Upon request, we are happy to produce a Suberbill at the end of the month for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Do you take insurance?
No, none of our providers are in-network providers. Our providers are considered “out-of-network” for all insurance companies.
What does “Out-of-Network” mean?
“Out-of-Network” means that we do not have a contract for services with any insurance companies, so we are not in-network. However, you may have out-of-network benefits with your insurance company. Please check with your insurance company to find out your “out-of-network” reimbursement policy if you are interested in being reimbursed..If requested, we will produce a monthly Suberbill for you to submit for possible reimbursement.
