Our Team of Therapists
Jessi Holesko
Marriage & Family Therapist Intern, RMFTI
Hi! My name is Jessi and I am here for any and all of your therapeutic needs. Many of our current ‘issues’ are deep rooted within ourselves, coming from relationships and environments from long ago, and up until today. Together we can explore this and figure out the best way for you to move forward. There is never any judgement here, I have worked with people of all ages, backgrounds, faiths, lifestyles, and classes.
I tend to focus on strength-based, future-forward and ‘positive’ models, like Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Narrative Therapy. However, the successful foundations of the approaches of Cognitive Based Therapy, Collaborative and Client-Centered Therapy cannot be denied. Many of my past clients have told me that therapy with me does not feel like therapy, it is more comfortable and easier than they expected.
I forward to you learning more about me, as I learn about you! Contact me to start the process.

How is your mind, body, and spirit today? How frequently have you been doing things that mean something? What makes you feel alive today? My background is focused in trauma, addiction, family and individual growth.
I work individually with all adults who struggle with LGBT issues, intimacy-related issues, self esteem, career difficulties, depression, anxiety, compassion fatigue, family issues, life purpose, post-traumatic stress, self-love and sexuality. I am a LGBTQ affirming therapist and support transgender and gender questioning clients. I have been licensed since 2019 and I have worked in the field since 2012. Therapy can be a deep, powerful and collaborative experience with professional guidance.
My therapeutic style is based on respect, safety, connection, empathy, and curiosity. I believe we each have a collection of stories that make us different. I want to honor your journey and help you work through tough feelings and fears. We will take time together to discover and decide your therapy goals. We can’t build a house without a blueprint!
I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Neuro Affective Relational Model (NARM). I like to incorporate therapy with creative expression, meditation/yoga, along with influences of nature and music to build a healthy understanding of mind, body and spirit. I enjoy gardening, reading, thrifting, yoga, cooking and raising my Australian Shepard named Birdie.

I am a native of Jacksonville, Fl and understand it’s unique challenges. I attended the University of Georgia, majoring in Psychology, and Florida State University receiving a Masters in Social Work. With twenty-five years of experience in psychotherapy, in the private and non-profit sectors, my experience includes River Region Human Services, Daniel Kids, and Duval County School Board. I started my own private practice 12 years ago. I have received specialty training in Applied Behavior Analysis, Addictions, and Family Systems. However, my passion lies in working with clients who are struggling with Anxiety, including, but not limited to: Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Specific Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety, Agoraphobia, Trichotillomania, and Body Dysmorphic Disorder.
I enjoy working with clients who are struggling with life’s transitions, whether it be a relationship, career move, or change in phase of life. I help clients move from the ruminating style of thinking to healthier objective fact based thinking. I use family systems theory to help my client’s understand why they have certain repeating behavioral patterns and work to change them to more productive functioning. I also provide lots of boundary work to help my clients safeguard their island of trust., and learn where their responsibility ends and another begins. I work with all ages, ethnicities, and gender identities, but specialize in women’s issues . My client’s ages currently span from 5 years old to 85 years old. I have been married for almost 20 years and have 3 children, and a Peekapoo dog.

Transitions in life can be extremely difficult. Do you find that you are second-guessing yourself and your choices? Would you like a neutral third party to help you process and facilitate your ability to make healthy boundaries with those around you? I specialize in women's issues in regards to new moms and transitions in parenting. I enjoy working with strong-willed children and teens while helping their family support them. Because of my passion for these populations, I provide weekend hours to work with my clients' busy schedules. I believe in creating a safe place for each client to unload and work through emotional issues.
It can be very easy to get lost in your family of origin. Being classically trained in behavior analysis, I bring both a family systems and spiritual approach to therapy. Additionally, I support people through their quarter-life, mid-life and senior-life in order to clarify boundaries and work towards purposeful, whole-hearted and joyful living.
Having experience working as a therapist in the school system, I am willing to collaborate with other professionals for the best care of my clients. I bring a solution-focused perspective to my sessions to help clients focus on their goals. I am also willing to process and facilitate ways psychology and spirituality can be integrated in daily living.
